Check a single PDF document for pages that appear more than once inside it — useful after scanning a stack of paper (a double-feed can duplicate a page) or merging documents by hand, where an accidentally repeated page is easy to miss by eye in a long file.

Overview
About PDF Duplicate Page Finder
Upload a PDF and this tool checks every page against every other page within that same document and flags any that are duplicated — a different problem from comparing separate files against each other. Common causes: a double-fed scanner producing the same page twice, or a merge or reprint that accidentally included a page more than once. Each page is rendered and compared two ways, reported separately: exact duplicates (pixel-for-pixel identical renders) and visually similar pages (the same page scanned twice with slightly different noise or skew).
Compatibility
Supported Formats
Accepts PDF (.pdf) input up to 20 MB and 60 pages — lower than this site's general 200-page PDF limit, since every page is rendered for comparison. Reports duplicate page groups — no output file is produced.
Guide
How to Use PDF Duplicate Page Finder
- Choose or drag in a PDF file.
- Click "Find Duplicate Pages".
- Review the exact and visually-similar page groups it reports.
Highlights
Features
- Within-document comparison Checks pages inside one PDF against each other — a different job from every other comparison tool in this catalog, which only ever compares separate uploaded files.
- Exact + visually similar, reported separately Pixel-identical page renders and near-identical (rescanned) pages are never conflated into one bucket.
- Reuses a proven comparison engine Uses the same perceptual-hash technique already powering this site's Image Duplicate Finder, applied to rendered PDF pages instead of uploaded photos.
- No files retained This is a report-only tool — no output file is created, and your uploaded PDF is deleted automatically after the check runs.
Applications
Use Cases
- Catch a double-scanned page in a batch of paperwork before filing or archiving it
- Verify a manually assembled or merged PDF report doesn't repeat a page by mistake
- Check a reprinted or reissued document for an accidentally duplicated page before sending it on
Good to Know
Limitations
Tuned to flag true repeats of the same source page, not merely similar-looking pages — two different pages sharing a template or letterhead won't usually be flagged. This compares pages within one document only, not across separate files.
Files are processed on our servers and are not shared with third parties. Files are deleted as soon as processing or download finishes. Any leftover temporary file is removed automatically by our cleanup process within the configured retention period (60 minutes). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from comparing two separate PDF files?
This tool checks pages *inside one document* against each other — it does not compare two different uploaded files. Nothing else in this catalog does a within-document page comparison; it is a genuinely different job from a file-vs-file duplicate checker.
How does it decide two pages are duplicates?
Each page is rendered to an image and compared two ways: an exact match is a pixel-for-pixel identical render, and a "visually similar" match uses the same perceptual difference-hash technique as this site's Image Duplicate Finder — designed to catch the same page scanned twice with slightly different noise, skew, or brightness, not just byte-identical pages.
How many pages can it check at once?
Up to a generous limit shown on the upload form — lower than this site's general PDF page-count limit, since every page has to be rendered to an image for comparison, a more expensive step than the text- or metadata-only checks most of this site's other PDF tools perform.
Will it catch pages that are similar but not actually duplicates?
It is tuned to flag true repeats (the same source page scanned or included twice), not merely similar-looking pages — two different pages with a shared template or letterhead but different body content will not usually be flagged, since the comparison looks at the whole rendered page, not just a template region.
Is my PDF kept on your server?
No. This is a report-only tool — no output file is created, and your uploaded PDF and its temporary page renders are deleted automatically shortly after the check runs.
