E-Invoice & Invoice XML

E-invoicing in Europe means several formats that look alike from outside: a PDF with XML inside (ZUGFeRD in Germany, Factur-X in France), the German XRechnung, Peppol invoices in UBL syntax, Poland's KSeF structured invoice FA(3), valid from 1 February 2026, Italy's FatturaPA and Spain's Facturae. Several countries also print a QR code on invoices: Poland (KSeF), Spain (VeriFactu), India (GST e-invoice) and Saudi Arabia (ZATCA). These tools help you find out which one you have, get the XML out, read it as a table, read a QR code, and check it.

Every tool in this category runs in your browser: the file is read on your device and nothing is uploaded. XML that declares a DTD or entity is refused before it is parsed. The tools state what they check and what they do not. They never call an invoice legally compliant, and a readable view or a PDF printed from it is not the official invoice. The XML is the invoice.

Identify

Find out what a file is before you pick a tool. The result lists the signals it is based on.

Extract

Get the structured data out of a hybrid PDF invoice.

View

Read an invoice XML as parties, lines, VAT, totals and payment data, with the raw XML alongside.

QR codes on invoices

Read the QR code of an invoice, check its structure, or build the KSeF verification code. None of these tools says an invoice is registered or valid.

Check

Technical checks on a hybrid invoice: PDF/A-3 structure, attachment, profile and amounts.

Which tool do I need?

  • I received a file and do not know what kind of e-invoice it is

Use E-Invoice Format Detector. Reads root element, namespace and identifiers and says which format and profile it declares.

  • My accounting software cannot read a ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF

Use ZUGFeRD / Factur-X XML Extractor. Pulls out the embedded XML so you can import it or inspect it.

  • I want to read an XRechnung without opening the XML

Use XRechnung Viewer. Shows the invoice as a table. It also reads Factur-X / ZUGFeRD and UBL.

  • A Peppol invoice failed in my system

Use Peppol UBL Invoice Viewer. Shows the business terms and checks the UBL structure against the schema.

  • I have a Polish KSeF invoice file

Use KSeF FA(3) XML Viewer. Reads FA(3) and validates it against the official Ministry of Finance schema.

  • I want to check a hybrid invoice before sending it

Use Factur-X / ZUGFeRD Validator (Technical Checks). Checks structure, profile and amounts. It is a technical result, not legal compliance.

  • I received an Italian invoice as .xml or .xml.p7m

Use Fattura Elettronica Viewer (XML & P7M). Opens the file, unwraps the signed envelope and shows the invoice. The signature is described, not validated.

  • I have a Spanish Facturae or XSIG file

Use Facturae XML & XSIG Viewer. Shows parties, lines, taxes and totals; describes the XAdES signature without verifying it.

  • I need the QR code for a KSeF invoice, or want to check one

Use KSeF QR Code Generator & Checker. Builds the KOD I link from NIP, date and file hash, places it on a PDF, and reads existing codes.

  • A Spanish invoice has a QR code and I want to see what is in it

Use VeriFactu QR Code Reader & Checker. Reads NIF, number, date and amount and links to the official AEAT check. It does not verify the invoice itself.

  • I want to read the QR code of an Indian GST e-invoice

Use GST e-Invoice QR Code Decoder & Checker. Decodes the signed token; a signature check needs a key you supply.

  • I want to read the QR code of a Saudi (ZATCA) invoice

Use ZATCA E-Invoice QR Decoder & Checker. Decodes the TLV tags of Phase 1 and Phase 2 codes. Signatures are described, not verified.
