Cookie Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This page explains the cookies used on Free Tool Desk. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data more broadly.

Essential cookies

Most pages, including every tool page, guide and category page, set no cookies. Two pages do: the contact page sets a session cookie and a CSRF-protection cookie (XSRF-TOKEN) so that the form can be submitted securely, and the administrator login does the same. They do not track you across other sites. Blocking them can stop the contact form from working.

Your cookie choice

The first time you visit, a notice asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Your answer is saved in your browser's local storage under the name ftd-consent. It is a record of your choice, not a tracking identifier, and it is not sent to our server. You can change the choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): only if you accept

If you accept, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic: which pages and tools are visited and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics then sets cookies in your browser, typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which let it recognize a returning browser. Until you accept, Google's analytics script is not loaded and these cookies are not set. If you reject, or later change your mind, we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can from this site. We use the reports in aggregate and do not try to identify individual visitors. Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block these cookies in your browser.

Browser storage and the local tools

The PDF Text Editor, Image Text Editor, Image Dimensions Checker, the European document tools (invoice, payment-QR, PDF inspection, privacy and photo tools), the Bangla, image and PDF tools of the Bangla & Bangladesh category, the office, email and e-book tools and the newer in-browser utilities run in your browser. They do not use cookies to store your files, and the text recognition (OCR) engine is configured not to cache anything in your browser's storage. Your file and any recognized text stay in the open page's memory and are released when you close the file or the tab.

Advertising cookies

We do not currently show ads and load no advertising code, so no advertising cookies are set by the site today. If we enable Google AdSense in the future, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies to show and measure ads and to personalize them. We will add a consent solution that meets Google's requirements and update this page before that happens, and you can manage ad personalization through Google's Ad Settings.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the contact form from working. Rejecting or blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the tools work.
