Privacy, ID & Photos

Before you share a document or photo you may want to take things out of it: faces and number plates, an IBAN or phone number in a contract, the parts of an ID copy the recipient does not need. These tools help with that, and with preparing a visa photo that meets measurable requirements.

All of them run in your browser. The photo or document is read on your device and is not uploaded, and neither is anything found in it. Hiding information changes the pixels of the saved copy, so it is permanent in that copy; the original on your device is untouched.

These are aids. Detection misses things, a watermark does not make a copy safe, and none of the tools makes a claim about GDPR compliance or about a visa being granted. Each page lists what it cannot do.

Photos

Hide faces and anything else you box by hand, then save a clean copy.

Documents

Find personal identifiers in a PDF, remove its hidden metadata, and protect a copy of an ID or other document.

Visa & identity photos

Crop and check a photo for the UK digital rules or a Schengen-style 35 × 45 mm profile.

Which tool do I need?

  • I am about to send a confidential PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint file and want one overview of what is hidden in it

Use Send-Safe Document Checker. Lists metadata, comments, tracked changes, hidden sheets, notes, attachments, scripts and macros, and names the tool to use for each. An overview, not a clearance.

  • I want to post a photo without showing faces or plates

Use Face & License Plate Blur. Detects faces; you draw boxes over plates yourself. Saves a copy without location data.

  • I want to know what personal data is inside a PDF

Use PDF Personal Data Scanner. Lists likely IBANs, emails, phone numbers and ID numbers by page, with confidence and reason.

  • I want to know what a PDF reveals about who made it

Use PDF Metadata Viewer & Remover. Shows author, producer, dates, XMP and IDs, and writes a copy without them. It lists what it cannot remove.

  • I redacted a PDF and want to know if the text is really gone

Use PDF Redaction Checker. Finds text still under black or white boxes, unapplied redactions and words you name. It never certifies a redaction.

  • I want to know whether a PDF contains scripts or launch actions

Use PDF Active Content Scanner. Lists JavaScript, OpenAction, launch and submit actions and embedded files. A structural inspection, not an antivirus.

  • Someone asked me for a copy of my ID

Use ID Copy Watermark & Redact. Hides what is not needed and writes the purpose and date across the copy.

  • I need a photo for a visa application

Use Schengen / UK Visa Photo Checker. Two separate modes: UK digital photo and Schengen-style 35 × 45 mm. No acceptance is promised.
