PDF Page Resizer (Letter ⇄ A4, Custom Size)

Put every page of a PDF on A4, Letter or a custom paper size: fit, fill, centre or stretch, with a before/after report of page sizes. Text and vectors stay sharp. In your browser.

Free to use No sign-up required Nothing is uploaded

A document made for US Letter prints with odd margins on A4 paper, and the other way round; a PDF with mixed page sizes is awkward to print or share. This tool redraws every page onto the paper size you choose, either keeping each page's shape or deliberately stretching it, and reports the size of every page before and after.

Pages are placed as vector content, so text and graphics stay sharp rather than becoming pictures, and the work happens in your browser. The file is not uploaded.

Overview

About PDF Page Resizer

Sizes. A3, A4, A5, A6, Letter, Legal, Tabloid, or a custom width and height in millimetres, with an optional margin. Each page\'s visible size is used: the crop box where there is one, otherwise the media box, and the page rotation is taken into account, so a landscape or rotated page is treated as the landscape page it looks like.

Scaling. Fit inside scales a page down or up until it fits entirely, keeping its shape, and centres it; the leftover space is white. Fill the page scales until the page is covered and crops what sticks out. Keep original size centres without scaling (a page larger than the paper is cropped). Stretch fills the sheet exactly and distorts the page; it is the only mode that does, and the report says so.

Orientation. "Follow each page" turns the paper to landscape for landscape pages and portrait for portrait pages, so mixed documents come out sensibly. You can also force portrait or landscape.

Report. After conversion a table gives each page\'s size in millimetres before and after and the scale applied. Before conversion the tool lists the page boxes (media, crop, trim, bleed and art boxes) it found on each page.

What is rebuilt. The new file contains one new page per page, each drawing the original as a form. The result has only a page size, with no separate crop, trim or bleed boxes.

Good to Know

Limitations

Pages are redrawn as static content. Links, form fields, comments and other annotations, bookmarks, tagging for accessibility and digital signatures are not carried over, and the document's extra page boxes (trim, bleed, art) are not kept. If you need those, resize in the program that made the PDF.

"Fill the page" cuts off content, and "Stretch" distorts it; use them knowingly. Fit and scaling change printed sizes, so a page scaled to fit is no longer at 100% of its original size. Check the result before printing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and rebuilt in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server.

Will text stay sharp?

Yes. Pages are placed as vector content, not rendered to pictures, so text and line art stay crisp at any zoom.

Does it distort pages when changing Letter to A4?

Not in Fit or Fill: the shape is kept and the scale is the same in both directions. Only the Stretch mode distorts, and it is labelled so.

What happens to pages of different sizes or orientations?

Each page is placed on its own sheet. With "Follow each page" landscape pages go on landscape sheets and portrait pages on portrait sheets. Rotated pages are treated as they appear.

Are my links and form fields kept?

No. Annotations, links, forms, bookmarks and signatures are not carried over because the pages are redrawn. Use the original program if you need them.

Can I convert only some pages?

This tool converts every page. Extract the pages you want first with the Extract PDF Pages tool, then resize.
