Free to use No sign-up required Nothing is uploaded

A photo studio would print a sheet of identical small photos for you; here you can lay one out yourself. Pick a size (35 × 45 mm, 2 × 2 in, 40 × 50 mm and others, or your own), a sheet (A4, 4R, 5R, Letter or A5), the number of copies, the spacing and the guides, and the sheet is built on screen. Download a PDF to print at home or a lab, or a 300 dpi image.

Your photo stays in your browser. The tool arranges your photo; it does not check it against any passport or visa rule, and it cannot promise that an office accepts the printed result.

Overview

About Passport / ID Photo Print Sheet Maker

Sizes and sheets. The size list holds sizes that are commonly asked for, in millimetres, plus a custom size. Which size an office or website wants is for that office to say: the tool does not know, and no size here is described as the requirement of any country. Sheets are A4 (210 × 297 mm), 4R (4 × 6 in), 5R (5 × 7 in), US Letter and A5.

Copies and fit. Choose 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or any number up to 100. The tool counts how many photos fit with your margin and spacing, picks portrait or landscape (and, if it fits more, turns the photos 90° on the sheet), and centres the grid. If the copies do not fit on one sheet it makes more sheets and tells you.

Framing. A photo with a different shape from the chosen size is cropped to fit, not stretched. Use Zoom and the left/right and up/down controls to choose which part is kept, and the 90° button for a sideways picture. The preview shows the effective resolution, because a small photo printed large looks soft.

Guides. Small crop marks outside each corner, a thin outline, or nothing. Marks need about 2 mm of spacing to stay visible between photos.

Quality. A JPEG is placed in the PDF as the original file and a PNG's pixels are copied without loss, and Exif rotation is handled, so there is no extra compression. Printing: use actual size or 100% (not "fit to page") and measure a printed photo before cutting the rest.

Good to Know

Limitations

This tool arranges a photo you supply. It does not remove or change the background, does not detect the face or check head size, expression or lighting, and does not check any country's photo rules. A government office or a visa site may require a specific size, background, recent date or an official photo shop; it may also refuse a home-printed photo. Ask the office, not this tool.

Printed sizes depend on printer settings. Photo paper, scaling and trimming add small errors, and a low-resolution photo printed small looks soft. If you cut by hand, use the crop marks and a ruler.

This tool runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is arranged and exported in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server or to analytics.

Will an office accept a sheet made with this tool?

We cannot know. Offices set their own rules about size, background, recent date and who may print the photo. This tool only arranges the photo; check the rules of the office or website you apply to.

How many photos fit on A4 or 4R?

It depends on the size, margin and spacing. For 35 × 45 mm photos with 8 mm margins and 3 mm spacing about 25 fit on A4 and a few on 4R. The tool shows the exact number and adds sheets if you ask for more.

The photo looks soft in the preview. Why?

The preview shows the effective resolution. Below about 200 dpi at the printed size a photo looks soft on paper. Use a larger original or zoom out.

Can it change the background or crop to the face?

No. You choose the framing with zoom and position, but the background is not changed. The face is not detected, so check the head position yourself.

Why is the printed photo not exactly the size I chose?

Almost always the printer scaled the page. Print at actual size or 100% and avoid "fit to page". Measure a printed photo before cutting the rest.
